Robyn Loau first caught the public's attention in
the early 90s as the lead singer of Australian all-girl pop act
Girlfriend. Robyn and Girlfriend enjoyed #1 chart success throughout
Australia and Asia and their first album held the record of the highest
selling debut Australian album - until silverchair broke their record.
Robyn left Girlfriend to pursue a solo singing and acting career,
starring in successful Australian films such as Idiot Box (alongside
Ben Mendleson and Jeremy Sims), and award-winning dramas including All
Saints and Wildside.
Robyn soon scored solo chart success with singles
such as Sick With Love and Got That Kind Of Feeling (Float On). Robyn
was also the face of the internationally successful world music project
Siva Pacifica.
Robyn currently teaches dance at Sydney Dance
Company, and during the past couple of years has written songs for the
likes of Jimmy Barnes and worked with Wicked beat Sound System and
Resin Dogs. Robyn is currently working on her new album due for release
this summer. In 2007 Robyn released a brand new single and video clip "
She Devil" and her second single "Everybody's Got to Learn" has been
chosen as the theme song for Channel Ten's Biggest Loser programme for
2008.
